Evening all, new member reporting.
Bought a 1998 vitara 5 door V6 because i live in a very hilly area---just love it!
I have a brand new VW touran for long distance trips, but the Vitara is so much fun the VW doesn't get a look in.
Cheers ---Stan. bounce

Thanks for the welcome everone,
In reply to Scotty, my plans at the mo is to get everything working as it should do.
I have extracted about 3 miles of add on wiring along with alarms /and other useless gizmos.
The viscous fan was seized so I chucked the hub, fitted an electric fan from a Vauxhall Astra but it won't keep it cool in heavy traffic , so looking for a viscous hub---it's a V6 by the way.
Also having trouble finding tyres 215/70/16. Anyone know any Suzuki breakers?
Looking forward to attending some offroad events (just watching at the mo)
As a retired mechanic I find it quite a good way to relax /pass the time mending and welding.
Cheers --Stan. Sleep

Afternoon Mr vitara_mad, the V6 fan is an eight blade thingy with a 6 inch dia centre viscous hub.
Shifts a bit of wind!
Dronfield?---is that one of the southern outpost's of hub of the universe which is Great Yorkshire.?

Stan, I take my hat off to you. This is the first time that I am aware that Vit-Mad didn't know the answer to a Vit question.

Shocked

Thankyou Mr vitara_mad, would be a help.
If it is the same size hub,and you are going to Lothersdale on Sunday---maybe you could bring it with you?, I only live about 20 minutes away from the farm, so all being well I should be there--mainly spectating, but may try some easy bits.
Cheers --Stan. Very Happy
