Hi folks
I’ve probs gone about this the wrong way, already made a few posts then I introduce meself ! I guess that should be the other way round.
Anyway, been lookin for a little zook for a while to get started in off roadin, after lookin at quite a few I finally settled on a 2002 jimny that was advertised via a local off road club.
May I also say what a great help arthur was (aka the oracle) as he personally looked over the details of each zook and never failed to reply, cheers bud ! :cheers!:
So here’s me starting point, its a 2002 jimny softop, 32000m, 3” rhino ray lift with colway c-trax tyres & heavy duty castor corrections.
Got a few mods in mind. Heavy duty recovery points, spacers and maybe some sliders.
And another thing, I’m a newbie, I know very little so brace ya’selves for the barrage of dumb ass questions !

if anyone has any tips / advice for jimny mods i'm all ears, er well eyes

Cheers all, great forum btw Very Happy

some pics of our first day oot !

bloody hell - would 'av had that little belter in a snap, why ???

I paid 2k for the jimny in the end, top end of me budget. will save some pennies for the mods over the next few month, have to say tho the jimny has got cracking heaters, SJ owners welcome to a warm !

you should keep the sj, may regret it and will cost a few quid to replace with somethin of that standard
just my thoughts tho

Sort of lost the bug. Went out in it a few weeks back, and did everything with ease after a hour.

Broke it about 5 times. Wasnt happy and its still not right.

Ive got it running right, its got alot of money in it, but i carnt help but look at it and think well nothing pale

I have found another sj close to home i am thinking of buying.

If i buy it then ill put some bits of it onto Knacker. But then ill get bored and will want to do more Laughing

There is only so much you can do at 16 on a self funded hobbie.

bit like me. Spend a small fortune on upgrading cars, get bored, sell them, then do it all again on another car.
Hobbies eh - pointless, cost a packet but it IS bloody good fun !!!

I think once its running again without the the thrust bearing screaming, and the alternator grinding, in the summer sun, with its roof off, and the doors off, all strapped in it might put a smile on my face.

Nothing quite like giving the old girl a burn on a sunday morning, wind in your hair!

Scrubs up well tho Laughing

Once ive changed bits over to look right with the body lift (rocksliders and bumpers) it should look something like presentable.
