Hi there, recently got back into mild offroading with a grand vitara (06 1.9 DDiS). Used to have a Jimny Special which we loved and took to a few arranged events.
Mainly use the GV to get the dogs up to places I would never see, and for photography.

not really a mud plugger as such as the car has to be ready to work the next day Wink

The Jimy:

Think the differences were it had a really nice interior and some OZ alloys. Kinda wish we had kept it as it was totally immaculate and never let us down, apart from doing the worst mpg of any 1.3 in the land....

The GV:

Finally persuaded a mate to buy a 4x4 today (a Navara) so should be able to go out and play again in the middle of nowhere again.

Hi and welcome, when day light gets a tad longer we will be up north yorks moors to do the TOR route, weve done half of it already and it was a good run, pretty steady with a couple of testers thrown in, keep an eye out for a date and make one in.

Here are some shots from the weekend. The GVs low ground clearance was showed up quite a bit by the Navara, but I had more grip..... I think when funds allow I might have to purchase a 2" lift kit for it.

as you can see from this one, I lost a lower cover at one point...... luckily no damage, so it did its job. I think I might have to buy that lift kit and some metal plates if I wanna go laning again..

Had great fun
