| Hi. Rick from Keighley. Trying to get into a bit of muddy fun again. Missing it since I left the army 3 years back and looking for something cheap to get me back into the thick of it.

| I'm wanting to do it to get me and the family out of the house on weekends. Think the kids would love it. Even when things break it keeps me occupied lol. Can someone put me in the right direction of whats worth getting and where to get it? Looking at spending around £500 on something. Dont mind having to spend a bit of time getting it going but dont want to spend too much money just yet. Cheers in advance. | |

| Bad thing about off roading, its addictive!! I love it but have just had to strip mine down and its almost all gone in bits now Going to get another in a month or so when things pick up again, can't beat the SJ's for cheap and chearful fun! Thats where I started, Tax, insurance and parts are all cheap, either one of them or a Vitara is probably what you'll end up with | |

| They are the ones I have been looking at. However being advised that a decent SJ will set me back a lot. Where would be the best place to get one from? Being looking around eBay, Autotrader and gumtree but everything seems quite expensive for what you get.

| Yeah thanks. Will hopefully get one in the next month or so as long as funding is alright, so when I do I may pop down for a few tips and advice. | |

| hello and welcome, im new to the forum too i only joined last week.i'd go for an sj personaly but they do hold there money, i bought my vitara for £300 and it's been quite reliable for the last 3yrs it coped ok just with mud tyres added, but as everyone else has said it does get addictive with the modding and spending... start cheap and then add extras (it's harder for the other half to find out just how much you've spent then)...all the best with it | |
